GM8x20 Manual Cylindrical Grinder pictured, more options available
The GM series plain cylindrical grinders are the largest of ECOTECH’S Grinders designed for large rolls and shaft type work. These high precision grinders have been very reliable for the paper and steel industry and the manufacturing of their exotic rolls. These grinders have dead centers, which provide higher repeatability accuracies. The workhead has a step pulley drive system providing 6 variable speeds. They also have a pick feed that can be set to feed on either end of the traverse or at both ends, and has a variable feed adjustment. The wheelhead must be manually retracted by actuating the feed handle.

All of ECOTECH’S Plain Cylindrical Grinders have a heavy aged cast iron construction, that has been precision machined and hand scraped. The manual series has a Hydro-dynamic spindle and a Hydro-static lubrication system on the table and wheelhead ways. With these special features your grinders will give you many years of trouble free operation and high accuracies.
Manual GUM12 Universal I.D. / O.D. Cylindrical Grinder pictured, more options available including CNC
The GUM has been very successful in prototype work and in aircraft work where they use exotic materials. The spindle workhead can be set to a live or a dead center. On the GUM the pick feed can be set to feed in on either end of the traverse or at both ends and has a variable feed adjustment. The wheelhead must be manually retracted by actuating the feed handle. The universal grinders are specially designed for grinding O.D. and I.D. surfaces. With the universal workhead and wheelhead these machines are also ideally suited for grinding taper and faces as well. With a Hydro-Dynamic spindle on the wheelhead, and the Hydro-Static lubrication system on the table, they will give you many years free of trouble.

MK82125/8000-H is used for grinding journals and crank pins of various kinds of marine diesel engine, internal combustion engine for locomotive, large-size compressor and other heavy duty power machinery. The MK82125 Crankshaft Grinder is suitable for single piece runs and for production lots.
H124 Manual Internal Grinder pictured, more options available
The Internal Grinder offers a flexible workhead with 4 different work speeds, and the M2120 has a variable speed workhead. The Internal grinder has a universal spindle nose that can be fitted with a 3 jaw chuck or face plate to give the end-user the flexibility needed in today’s industry. The hydraulic controlled dresser unit has individual feed control, and can be positioned anywhere on the table. These are important features for conceiving today’s demanding finishes.
All of ECOTECH’S Internal Diameter Grinders have heavy aged cast iron construction that has been precision machined and hand scraped. With the Hydro-Static lubrication system on the table, they will give you many years of trouble free operation and high accuracies.
MK2120 CNC Internal Grinder pictured, more options available
This programmable in-feed on the CNC Internal Cylindrical Grinder is suitable for grinding straight, formed, and tapered type workpieces. The worktable feed movement is controlled with hydraulics servo driven ball screw, which has infinitely variable speed, and this movement is fed back to the controller. The Fanuc CNC controller operates two axes, the in-feed on the wheelhead and the cross table. The system has the necessary hardware to be fitted with an In-process gauging system to complete automatic sizing of the workpiece. Programming is a “G” code format and the storage is large enough that multiple programs can be stored. The system can be programmed to plunge or traverse grind with a course and/or fine feed, plus spark-out. This will give you the flexibility needed to keep up with today’s technology in the manufacturing industry.
M71 Manual Surface Grinder pictured, more options available
The M71 Surface Grinder series come standard with automatic down feed; these surface grinders are constructed with an oversized base so that the ways are always supported. With this feature there will be limited distortion to the worktable caused by overhang. This equipment comes with all standard components, coolant system, over the wheel dresser, wheel balancing stand and arbor, grinding wheel and hub.
MK71 CNC Surface Grinder pictured, more options available
The MS71 and MK71 surface grinder series uses the Fanuc or Siemens control. With the programmable down-feed system the operator can setup to crossfeed or plunge grind using the user-friendly programming system. With the canned cycle the operator has the option to program the coarse feed and fine feed with spark-out. Once the system is programmed, the system can be an unmanned operation. The wheelhead can be set to cross feed continuously, intermittently or can be operated by hand. This equipment comes with all standard components, coolant system, over the wheel dresser, wheel balancing stand and arbor, grinding wheel and hub.
MK84100 CNC Roll Grinder pictured, more options available
The large Roll Grinders use the SIEMENS high performance control. This control has been developed exclusively for the CNC Cylindrical Roll Grinder. “SGS Grinding Star” is special user-friendly programming software used to control grinding of the convex crowns and/or concave curves.
The system can store all your cylindrical roll programs, grinding time and inspection data on the L3 computer management database. The output format is determined by the programmer. We have developed a state-of-the-art CNC Cylindrical Roll Grinder with the simplicity of programming today’s most complex parts.
